CPC prepared information package for newly appointed members of the National Assembly
Commission for the Prevention of Corruption prepared a package of information for the newly appointed members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia after the elections in July 2014. The aim of this campaign is to remind members the National Assembly of all the important information, dates and their obligations arising from the Integrity and Prevention of Corruption Act.
The content of the information package is focused on:
• the obligations and responsibilities with regard to declaring their assets,
• information regarding the restrictions on business activities,
• information on avoiding conflicts of interest and
• information on their responsibilities as lobbied persons.
Members were also reminded of the GRECO recommendation, which requires the adoption of a uniform code of ethics for the Members of the National Assembly together with a mechanism of control and sanctions.
